Heavies and Assaults are now are going to laugh at MD users(Well even more then they do now). 25% blast reduction? Assaults get all kinds of bonuses to Shield Armor and Damage Mods, and lets be honest, 90% of MD users are Logis by default. It seems CCP is changing the weapon into an extremely niche Min Commando when, because using the MD as a Main weapon will no longer be viable. |

No one does that anymore due to Rail Rifle outDPSing you in your optimal. And there are Snipers and Forge Gunners, seriously that strategy has been long dead outside of pubs. And it certainly won't be viable anymore period, and lets be honest, what else is the MD for outside of that scenario? |

You also make it sound like both Heavies and Assaults are receiving the explosion resistance bonus, which is false. It's just the heavies, which are supposed to be able to hold a point through firepower and damage soaking, trading any semblance of mobility to attain it.
They are already doing that RIGHT NOW. 25% reduction makes them not care at all about MD rounds, so it's just promoting Rifle usage. |

Throw off Aim with Aim Assist? There was already a video showing how powerful it is. "Throw off aim" hasn't been a problem since 1.4. Please show me proto suits with 600+HP dying to Boundless Assault MDs in a single clip. |

Because MD users aren't anything out of it. They are trash against Heavies, mediocre against Assaults, but good against...scouts? Everything in the game kills scouts. I can see if MDs needed a counter because they were good against something or OP, but there were already pretty mediocre, to the point where you only saw 1 or 2 per match, if any at all.
Meanwhile Rifles are good against everything, with no optimal to manage compared to MDs Lasers, Shotguns, etc. |

Meanwhile Rifles are good against everything, with no optimal to manage compared to MDs Lasers, Shotguns, etc. Trash against heavies? Absolutely. You're using an area denial weapon to try to deny area to a suit designed to hold an area. I'd hope the heavy could shrug your rounds off. It's not designed to be a meat grinder weapon against all suits like you seem to want it to be, If someone hangs around too long, you're going to get the kill. The purpose of the weapon is to dictate your opponents movements - force them out of cover, not ******* one shot everything that moves because "HURRDURR I R HAZ ECCPLOZIVZ". You actually see them being used in squads quite frequently. Well, you personally might not for whatever bullshit reason your trying to impress upon me, but nine times out of ten when I see a squad romping around the field, I see a MD forcing people into their allies crosshairs.
The heavy suit is already holding an area right now is what I'm saying. 25% is overkill to the point where the weapon is useless. Have you actually used a MD against a proto Heavy suit? No one would like it if CCP purposed Rail Rifles to do no damage within 15 meters of its target. Again effectiveness nerf should not mean total uselessness.
The Assault MD will still have a niche at putting a time limit of people hiding, but that's it. And at that stage it's win more. Standard MD purpose has already been lost because Rifle DPS > Breaching capability of Standard MD, + Heavies with HMG do it way better. I never said anything about the MD killing things in one shot, don't know where the hell you got that from. |

They were. Then 1.4 came and added Aim Assist. Then 1.7 came and added Rifles that are well inside the MDs optimal range. Meanwhile Good Snipers and Forge Gunners and Core Lotus spammers(assuming PC) still did their thing. It's still somewhat viable in pubs, but forget it in PC. |
